This is an opportunity to enjoy meaningful work in animal welfare and help to grow a much-needed service in the community! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide excellent customer service during surgical check-in and discharge.
Generate accurate medical records and invoices.
Assist clients with scheduling and other inquiries.
Assist technicians and veterinarians with pre-surgical preparation.
Monitor patient recovery following surgery.
Communicate with clients clearly and professionally regarding surgery and post-operative care.
Administer medications as directed to cats & dogs presented for surgery.
Clean, disinfect, and maintain surgical and kennel areas.
Handle and move animals prior to and following surgical procedures, restraining animals as needed.
Perform medical treatments and diagnostics at the direction of technicians and veterinarians.
Contribute to and lead initiatives to improve processes and procedures.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to work standing or sitting for 8 or more hours.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with help.
Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly.
Must be able to see fine detail in a variety of situations.
Experience:
Experience working in a high-volume spay/neuter clinic preferred.
Experience working at a veterinary hospital preferred.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 7:
15 - 5:
15 No nights, no weekends, or holidays!!! Compensation:
Hourly rate commensurate with experience starting at $14.
00 per hour, paid time off, medical benefits.
